A new customer came into the shop today. His ’58 Gibson Acoustic needed adjustment. He says the intonation is off and he can’t get it to tune. I open the case and see the bridge. Note that the strings are epoxied into the holes…....

Screws… In case you lose your regular bridge pins ! Because why replace it when you can fix it ? If you still care enough about your acoustic guitar, you might want to replace the bridge pins instead of improvising a fix that could damage your beloved guitar....

A guy thinks it is better toput epoxy on a fret instead of a proper leveling and crowning. He said that is a great working fix and the guitar is sounding sweet on that fret. (via Seymour Duncan forum)
