So let me get this straight. We’ve gone from guitars with intricate designs and elegant shapes to something that looks like a lumberjack’s leftover plank. I mean, I get it, simplicity is key, but this is taking it to a whole new level.

And what’s with the pickups configuration? I get the three springs over the humbucker. I guess its maker was looking for that sympathetic resonance drone thing. Alright, then you have a lonely humbucker on the lower horn with no strings attached? It’s like someone forgot to finish the job.

And let’s not forget about the neck humbucker and the speaker. Is it their to achieve some killer feedback or maybe the purpose lies on that control plate ? It’s like they took a bunch of spare buttons from a spaceship and slapped them onto a guitar. I want to know if the speaker is connected to some sort of modular synth before I decide whether we should kill this guitar with fire or pay attention to it !

I mean, call me old-fashioned, but when I’m playing guitar, I like to have strings on my pickups and maybe, just maybe, a little bit of actual design in the design. But hey, what do I know? Maybe this guitar is the future of music and I’m just stuck in the past.

And what better way to complete the look than with a Batman sticker and a pin-up girl? Well actually I have nothing to say about that ! Who doesn’t like cartoon characters and half-naked women ?
