Every guitar string has a lifecycle. It starts out fresh, bright and full of twangy promise. Then comes the sweet spot.
And then… the decline.
A little rust. A little tuning instability. A faint sense that perhaps basic hygiene has been abandoned. And eventually, of course: SNAP.
Usually during the solo.
So yes, somewhere between “just right” and “biohazard mess,” your strings technically become vintage. Probably.
