Les Paul bodyshape with Firebird headstock signed and played by Joe Bonamassa ? Haters gonna hate !
Gibson Custom has partnered with blues rock guitarist Joe Bonamassa to release a limited edition of 100 Bonabyrd guitars, which merge the body of a 1950s Les Paul with a 1960s Firebird headstock.
The Bonabyrd features a striking Antique Pelham Blue finish. It is equipped with PAF-style Custom Bucker pickups, a one-piece mahogany neck with a Bonamassa profile, and a rosewood fingerboard with trapezoid inlays. The body consists of a maple top and an ultra-light one-piece mahogany back.
The Bonabyrd has been a staple on Bonamassa’s stage since 2014. Each guitar from the limited edition has been played and signed by Joe Bonamassa himself.
