This is a quite ergonomic (I. E., works well with the human body) design. I would want a smooth tapered hand rest but it otherwise looks really user friendly to me. Most of the gorgeous showy wood on electric guitars that we all love does absolutely nothing for the sound or functionality of the instrument.
