Have you ever looked at a guitar and thought to yourself : “That’s just too normal” ? Well, if you have, then this bass guitar is for you. There is nothing normal about this shape ! When I first saw it, it made me do a double-take and wonder, What were they thinking? Is it a bass ? Is it an amoeba ?

So, let me get this straight, they took the wood from a piano lid to make a bass guitar? Why not after all? But hey, at least they went all out with the design. This thing looks like an amoeba that’s been pumping iron… or maybe it just looks like a bass guitar that needs a therapy !

The neck is made of two pieces of sycamore with a half inch piece of walnut between. The body is a 2 inch block of maple, with the grain facing down at a 45 degree angle. I’m no woodworking expert, but I’m pretty sure that’s not how it’s supposed to be done. Or maybe it is… I told ya, I’m no woodworking expert !

I have to hand it to them, though. They definitely succeeded in making a bass guitar that’s impossible to forget. It’s like a mutant sci-fi monster that even aliens would find weird.

But in all seriousness, it’s a bass guitar that’s sure to turn heads and start conversations, which is more than enough for a bass guitar, right ?
